Early Start:
As this race is under 8k there is strictly no early start. We will have a mass start at 11:00 sharp.
Organisers Instructions:
Registration will be open from 9:15 to 10:30. No late entries will be accepted. Reg. will close on time to allow the race organising team get to the start area.

Race start is on the crossroads with the Wicklow Way in Brockagh Woods. This is a 1 km run/walk from the registration, so please leave sufficient time to get there.

VOLUNTEERS: Please aim to be at the Resource Centre for 8:30 to help set up for registration. 1st race of the year will be a busy one.

As we enter a new year of racing, below is some useful information for the Winter League, and also for the rest of 2025.

Please arrive early - registration will close at 10:30

If you haven’t already done so, collect your number first. Then join the sign-in queue, where your name will be checked off against the pre-entry list. Finally, proceed to the laptop desk to get your chip scanned.

Unlike previous years, the timing chips are now incorporated into the race number. Your number and chip will be yours for the entire 2025 race year. Please retain both for the year, they are your responsibility – keep them safe and remember to bring them to each race.

Replacement numbers will be charged at 5 Euro online.

Check the mandatory kit list required for the race. This will be advertised at registration on the day. Any items ticked on the board MUST be carried for the race and available for random it checks. Failing a kit check will result in disqualification from the race.

Wear your number clearly visible on the front of your chest. Do not wear it on your back, shorts, or bag as it cannot be seen easily by the spotters at the finish line. If you need to put on a jacket over your number (e.g. due to weather), make the number visible before crossing the finish line!

If you cannot finish the race for any reason, please let a volunteer know. Otherwise we could be out on the mountain for a while looking for you.

The RD can be contacted using the emergency phone number on the rear of your race number.

Volunteers (Non-Running)

You need to have done 2 non-running volunteer roles in a calendar year to qualify for end of year prize

Please login to myIMRA to volunteer to help at this event. You should aim to volunteer at least once for every 10 events that you run.

Volunteers (Running)

Check with race director if they have a need for people volunteering and running. Race directors need a minimum number of people available throughout the race to make the race work so non-running volunteers are preferable. While it can be helpful, volunteering in a volunteer and race capacity does not count towards qualifying for end of year prize
