Route Description:
Start is about 800m from the pub. From the off, follow the trail for 800m to the stone wall which marks the steep climb to the top. This has about 200m climb over 700m length, and may be ran either side of the wall. The wall will need to be crossed once, there are quite a few easy points to climb over. Run through the old gate (which will be opened) **Junior Course crosses the wall at the marked stile and turns for home at this point-circa 4k in total**. Everyone else follows the markings along the grassy ridge for another 500m, and cross the low stone wall at the marked point. Run along the fast grassy downhill to the end of the stone wall, cross wall, and enter the forest. All junctions will be marked, closed junctions will have tape across them. NEVER CROSS A LINE OF TAPE. At the 6k point, rejoin the trail and climb for home. Stay on this trail (running through or around pools, your choice), until 7.5k point, where you turn sharply for a fast descent through the forest. Upon exiting, follow the markings through the mucky trail (care is needed here), and descend again through the cleared forest trail. Enter the forest again at 8k, follow the flat puddled trail, and turn for a final fast descent through the trees. Turn left at the bottom, and sprint the final 200m to the finish.

Volunteers (Running)

Check with race director if they have a need for people volunteering and running. Race directors need a minimum number of people available throughout the race to make the race work so non-running volunteers are preferable. While it can be helpful, volunteering in a volunteer and race capacity does not count towards qualifying for end of year prize
