Tomas GalvinMar 7 2012, 11:37amGerry, Can you put Tom down as a non-running helper for the European &Youth Trials in Glendalough in June. Thank you.
Gerry BradyMar 7 2012, 7:45pmThanks Tommy, more volunteers for that race, the Colleges in late March, and the Wicklow Glacier lakes in mid-April would be appreciated.
Alan KellyMay 15 2012, 12:38pmI have noticed that there are logging machinery in parts of the course, is the course confirmed yet?
Alan KellyMay 15 2012, 12:40pmSorry, to clarify, not logging machinery, a digger and bulldozer. Perhaps there is no major work being done which will hinder the event on that course.
Gerry BradyMay 15 2012, 7:55pmAlan, my understanding is that the Coillte work will not affect the course which is mostly on forest paths. The trial course description has been updated to incorporate changes agreed with the National Parks and Wildlife Service (avoids steps at Poulanass waterfall). Some volunteers welcome.
Alan KellyMay 17 2012, 1:07pmThanks Gerry. Regarding the direction we take on the route, do we begin the ascent to the left or the right of the Poulanass waterfall?
Gerry BradyMay 20 2012, 9:57pmUpdated map and race distances on event page. This race doubles as a trial for the International Youths race in Glendalough on 24th June and for the Europeans in Turkey in July. Volunteers appreciated particularly course marshalls.
Gerry BradyMay 29 2012, 10:34pmThere will be a training run on the trial course for the Youths and Europeans on Sunday 3rd June. Meet at the upper lake car park in Glendalough at 10:30. The run is open to everyone.
Gerry BradyJun 6 2012, 10:55pmThanks to everyone who has volunteered, a few more course marshalls welcome. Can everyone be at the upper lake car park at 9:45 on Saturday with registration opening at 10. Registration is in the car park and the start is over near the information Centre (on the Wicklow Way).
