The maintenance works may cause changes to plans so please keep an eye on the Event Page and Forum for updates. Organisers Instructions:
New expression of what the Galtees can offer. Starting from Kings Yard taking in Carrigeen, Slievecushnabinnia, down to the Cush car park via the Grassy Knoll (cut off point - must have left car park 2.5 hrs after race start) and back up Cush, Galty Beag, Galty Mór and down the white stones route to the finish back at Kings Yard. Race kit: waterproof jacket, foil blanket, gloves, hat, fully charged phone, water. Early start 10am. This race is harder and longer than previous years. It is 23k and over 1700m elevation with some open mountain sections. A recce in advance is advised (recce dates will be posted on forum). This race would be a good indicator of ability to complete the Reeks Skyline or other tough mountain runs.

Volunteers (Non-Running)

You need to have done 2 non-running volunteer roles in a calendar year to qualify for end of year prize

Volunteers (Running)

Check with race director if they have a need for people volunteering and running. Race directors need a minimum number of people available throughout the race to make the race work so non-running volunteers are preferable. While it can be helpful, volunteering in a volunteer and race capacity does not count towards qualifying for end of year prize
