Public transport access is via the N3/6 bus from Abbey Street and the nearest stop is not far from the entrance of the estate. Bus timetables can be viewed on all of the usual websites(, Those travelling by car can park in available spaces at the Golf Club on a first come, first served basis, if space is not available you can park for free in the Harbour car parks (2K from Registration) or to the side of the grounds there is some street parking in the Balkhill housing estate, there’s a gate through to the Golf Club from there. All these locations are shown on the map on the home page, please do not park in any location causing an obstruction to the local community as we need their co-operation for future events. The Dart station is also shown on the map and is about 2K up to registration, again a timetable is available on all the usual locations. ,
Organisers Instructions:

No face covering = no result. A mask or a buff will do

No jacket = no result. Bring the mandatory jacket and have it crossing the finish line.

You should start the race at the specified gun-times, or choose a distance that suits your ability.

Registration will be from 09:30 to 10:30 sharp, as we’ll have to relocate to the start down at the Castle. This is a 10 to 15 minute walk from registration. As this is the first Leinster WSL race of the year, please come early as race numbers have to be issued and tags re-programmed or new ones issued. As the race is less than 8 kilometers there will be no early start. There is a junior route also and there will be a marshal at the point where they split from the main race. The course will be fully marked and in general you should follow the trail you’re on and only change direction where you see markings coming up to a turn or junction and the turn will generally be to the side that the markings are on. You’ll note if you view the map that there is a section that is run in both directions and where we feel there might be problems, we’ll have a marshal positioned. PLEASE NOTE THAT RUNNER’S GOING UPHILL ARE ASKED TO GIVE WAY TO THOSE RUNNING DOWNHILL

Volunteers (Non-Running)

You need to have done 2 non-running volunteer roles in a calendar year to qualify for end of year prize

Current Volunteers

Please login to myIMRA to volunteer to help at this event. You should aim to volunteer at least once for every 10 events that you run.

Volunteers (Running)

Check with race director if they have a need for people volunteering and running. Race directors need a minimum number of people available throughout the race to make the race work so non-running volunteers are preferable. While it can be helpful, volunteering in a volunteer and race capacity does not count towards qualifying for end of year prize
