Mandatory Kit: running jacket, whistle and compass. We also recommend a hat, some food and water. If you are unsure if you are able for the course, please also bring a mobile phone.
Controls: 10 controls with OT flags and punches.
Course: We will supply you with a map (supplied by EastWest Mapping) and control points will be marked on it. There are 10 control points. For the LONG course you must visit ALL TEN controls and on the SHORT course you need to visit ANY FIVE controls. You can visit the controls points in any order you choose and punch your card at each control.
There will be a long and short course. The long course will be 19km+ with 500m+ climb and will be on a variety of terrain. The short course will be approximately 10km and will be suitable for those not confident with navigation but will be ideal for learning. If anyone thinks they might be longer than 4 hours there will be an early start at 10:00.

- At race finish
Volunteers (Non-Running)
You need to have done 2 non-running volunteer roles in a calendar year to qualify for end of year prize
Volunteers (Running)
Check with race director if they have a need for people volunteering and running. Race directors need a minimum number of people available throughout the race to make the race work so non-running volunteers are preferable. While it can be helpful, volunteering in a volunteer and race capacity does not count towards qualifying for end of year prize
