Mick HanneyJul 26 2017, 8:21pmEoin, I added my name as a helper. Can assist with any role - first aid, laptop, summit.

Eoin SyronJul 26 2017, 11:44pmHi Guys thanks for volunteering.

Mick, could you do first aid?

Conor and Davey could one of you do summit marshal?

Thanks Eoin
Mick HanneyJul 27 2017, 9:06amFirst aid is fine, thanks.
Davy DunneJul 27 2017, 10:39amHi Eoin, I can do summit marshall, I havnt been up Lug before so ill go up when the course is being marked.
Thomas AbadieJul 27 2017, 12:00pmHi, I just signed up to myIMRA online today but I do not see how to get the annual membership, is it too late for this year?
I was interested in this trail, I have experience in road running and a few marked trails but not with the IMRA so perhaps other trails are more accessible in a first place. Does this one require advanced navigation skills?
Conor O'FarrellJul 27 2017, 2:28pmHi Eoin

I can do whatever you need. If there is skilled navigation involved I may struggle, but I'll give anything a go.

Mick HanneyJul 27 2017, 2:57pmFolks,
Course isn't marked. The odd time, marking tape can be put down near the summit by a summit marshall.
Some navigation ability is needed as weather can be changeable and the forecast for Sat is for rain so far. Regards,
Mick
Davy DunneJul 27 2017, 6:20pmEoin, Ill do summit marshal
Eoin SyronJul 27 2017, 8:15pmHi just to be clear there will be no marking for this race. It so happens there is a worn path to the top but it is not necessary to stay on this path as the race is to the top and back . If you have not run in the mountains before then I suggest starting with a trail league or Leinster league race next year as if the cloud is down visability can be reduced to less than 20 meters. If volunteers could be there for 10.45.

Eoin SyronJul 27 2017, 8:16pmSorry that should be 11.45.

Thanks,

Alan AylingJul 28 2017, 9:12pmHi Cathy, I can give you a lift down but not back (heading south afterwards instead of home). If that's any good to you let me know. Kingswood Luas stop 11:15?
