Zoran SkrbaApr 28 2013, 10:12pmThere is a Music and Food festival on in Westport this weekend. Most places seem booked up. http://www.westportfestival.com/
Stuart ScottJun 6 2013, 11:39amJust in case anyone missed it, there's a discussion on the Croagh Patrick forum about making a weekend of the Connacht Champs: https://www.imra.ie/events/forum/event/1053/id/1053/
Sam ScrivenJun 21 2013, 6:10amAny recommendations on a good map for this route?

Vivian O'GormanJun 21 2013, 5:07pmHi Folks,

The Connaught Championship has come round again.

I need a couple of Volunteers. In particular I need a First Aid person - non running. Also 2 for the finish. Colin Doyle is the Summit Marshall.

Race registration will be in the car park beside the Silver Strand from 12pm.
So if Volunteers can be there around then - 12/12.30pm.

Early starters can go between 12 and 12.30.

The kit requirement is: Longsleeved rainproof running top - bumbag with chocolate/biscuits, map and compass. You can download the map from this website.

Prizegiving will be in the car park after the race.

Don't forget to bring your own water and take all your rubbish home with you.
Vivian O'GormanJun 22 2013, 5:18pmUnfortunately Colin Doyle has had to cry off so I now need a Summit Marshall.
Sam ScrivenJun 25 2013, 4:32pmAnybody staying down at croagh Patrick campsite from Dublin got a spare seat?
Stuart ScottJun 25 2013, 10:44pmHi Sam, I'm hoping to head down Fri and might have a spare seat if it suited you to go then. Will sort out plans at the race tomorrow! Stuart.
Sam ScrivenJun 26 2013, 11:22amGreat Stuart, thanks. Talk to you tonight
Ercus StewartJun 26 2013, 9:56pmhi. as I said I will volunteer at the 2 Connaught runs. Ercus
Robert MalseedJun 27 2013, 2:43pmUnfortunately I won't be able to run the races this year. My wife has suddenly decided to go out on the Saturday and to do a carboot on Sunday, despite her knowing that these races were on the calendar for the past three months.
Vivian O'GormanJun 28 2013, 12:18pmFor those going to Mayo for the weekend just to let you know that the weather is not good. From Westport out to Louisburgh the mist is down, its wet and raining and apparently its nor going to be much better on Saturday and Sunday.

So bring your wet gear AND race kit as on the events page for this race - longsleeved rainproof jacket etc. A decision on what to wear will be made before the race.
Vivian O'GormanJun 28 2013, 12:23pmIf anybody is interested in doing Summit Marshall for this race just let me know.
Daniela BoehmJun 28 2013, 2:07pmHi, in case anyone is still looking for a lift down to Mayo: we'll be leaving tomorrow morning around 8. Won't be able to offer a lift back to Dublin on Sunday, however.. Daniela (zero86 two 016784)
