All runners must bring the above items to the race. The actual kit to be carried during the race will be finalised on the day, depending on conditions etc., and clearly advised at Registration.
You should also have the means to carry all the kit in case required.
Failure to have the required items may lead to you being denied entry to the race, or disqualification. Random checks may be carried out.
- Route Description:
- Start at the barrier at Wicklow Way junction on Old Military Road, up along Wicklow Way and then left out towards Scar summit, right turn and descend on the narrow track along tree line to meet the Wicklow Way following it back to the start. Parking is limited at the race start so can you please try to carpool from Laragh - there are a few spaces at the bottom of the hill on the right only (please note to the left at Glendalough Green cafe, parking is for patrons only, so please respect this). Alternatively, there is a large free car park through Laragh on the R755 at the Woolen Mills.

The 17th edition International U18 Mountain Running Cup, will be held from 21 to 22 June 2024 in "Montaña Palentina" (Spain)..
The race, in Barruelo de Santullán, will cover a distance of 5,5 km with an elevation gain of 200 meters

Eligibility: 4 female and 4 male athletes born in 2007 or 2008
Note - athletes born in 2005/2006 or 2009 are welcome to attend the trial race for race experience, however they are NOT eligible for selection.
Target times will be less than 25 mins for boys and less than 31 mins for girls.

Volunteers (Non-Running)
You need to have done 2 non-running volunteer roles in a calendar year to qualify for end of year prize
Volunteers (Running)
Check with race director if they have a need for people volunteering and running. Race directors need a minimum number of people available throughout the race to make the race work so non-running volunteers are preferable. While it can be helpful, volunteering in a volunteer and race capacity does not count towards qualifying for end of year prize
