Route Description:
we now will have a control kite at the end of Britas Brook. Grid reference T 03838 92585. Will be close to the southwest end of a big flat area. The exact end of the brook mightn't be 100% black & white (e.g. after heavy rain any bit of ground where water runs down can look like a brook!), but it should be at a small split in the stream. The thing will be to place the kite very visible, so anyone near will be able to see it. Runners should simply be able to follow the brook uphill and so shouldn't be at much risk of missing it anyway. In my opinion there should be no need for any punching, control cards or electronic tags etc. A simple honour system of visit the control on the way out and back should suffice.

Volunteers (Running)

Check with race director if they have a need for people volunteering and running. Race directors need a minimum number of people available throughout the race to make the race work so non-running volunteers are preferable. While it can be helpful, volunteering in a volunteer and race capacity does not count towards qualifying for end of year prize
