This event is also a Fundraising event for Aiseiri.ie which provides a residential and community based residential addiction treatment program for young people, adults and their families
From Lisvernane village starting with a short uphill road section then onto nice trail, leading onto single uphill Forrest trail that brings you onto fast fire road section, before a last short uphill pull, then the real fun starts, with muddy downhill trail leading to short steep technical section winding down through the trees, and nice trail back to finish.

Organisers Instructions:
MANDATORY SHOWERPROOF JACKET MUST BE CARRIED/WORN DURING ALL IMRA EVENTS

No jacket = no result. Bring the mandatory jacket and have it crossing the finish line. You must be 16 years or over to compete in main race.

Race starts at the later time of 12:00 due to local Mass. Early start 11:30. Please park as advised on arrival as not to obstruct Mass goers. Junior race/short course 3.5k. Accompanied kids run start time 11:15.

Under IMRA rules for competitor's safety, it is mandatory to bring and carry a jacket that is shower and wind proof for the entire race. Any competitor seen not carrying or wearing their jacket at any stage in the race will be disqualified. There are no exceptions to this rule!

You need to have done 2 non-running volunteer roles in a calendar year to qualify for end of year prize

Check with race director if they have a need for people volunteering and running. Race directors need a minimum number of people available throughout the race to make the race work so non-running volunteers are preferable. While it can be helpful, volunteering in a volunteer and race capacity does not count towards qualifying for end of year prize
