This is a 'normal' race ie with a fee/vouchers accepted but 2016 annual registration is reduced to €3 for anyone that hasn't run this year. Please note the new IMRA registration system introduced in 2016 is in operation. Details on https://www.imra.ie/events/view/id/1345
This means if you don't have a race number for 2016 you have to register yourself on this site to get one.
- You also have to remember to bring your physical race number.
- Pre-registration/online entry will close at 8pm on Stephen's Day (26th).
This race combines two older traditions:
- IMRA fancy dress Christmas Flash every December 27th (sometimes in Bray, sometimes the Sugarloaf)
- the Djouce Jog (run by the mysterious 'Djouce Djoggers' and won by Jimmy Sinnott countless times).
- Prizegiving Location:
- Pluck's of Kilmacanogue - first to arrive will be treated to sandwiches courtesy of IMRA.
Volunteers (Non-Running)
You need to have done 2 non-running volunteer roles in a calendar year to qualify for end of year prize
Volunteers (Running)
Check with race director if they have a need for people volunteering and running. Race directors need a minimum number of people available throughout the race to make the race work so non-running volunteers are preferable. While it can be helpful, volunteering in a volunteer and race capacity does not count towards qualifying for end of year prize
