- Organisers Instructions:
- The race is approxmiately 1000 metres of total ascent, and pretty much exactly 21 km. You'll run over 9 peaks in the course of the race. Biggest selling point? Virtually NO fire-road! But it is a long draining route, lots of lovely open mountain, but with energy sapping peaks and peat-hags (especially if wet), and some navigation skills will be needed (especially if poor visibility).
Mandatory kit is official IMRA number and jacket. There may be extra kit but to be confirmed on the day eg food, drink, map, compass, space blanket.
The Start is as per old Seefingan LL race (see forum thread for co-ordinates)
Runners must check-in at summits of - Seehan, Corrig, Seefingan, Seefin, Seefingan, Kippure, Corrig, Seehan· NOT required to check in at Seefingan summit on the way back rom Kippure. Otherwise, it's a non-marked open mountain race, and people can choose their own lines· Navigation skills needed, especially if there is any chance of poor visibility in the Seefingan/Kippure region of the race.
You must touch the trig point or the cairn at the top of each required summit. We are strongly advising that you use the new style at the top of the forest on the way up to Seehan at the start of the race, as we believe the new barb wire fence is too risky. There may be further instruction on this on the day. All competitors, and particularly those who have not competed this year already, should READ the NEW REGISTRATION GUIDELINES.
We are NO longer accepting MONEY at races.

Volunteers (Non-Running)
You need to have done 2 non-running volunteer roles in a calendar year to qualify for end of year prize
Volunteers (Running)
Check with race director if they have a need for people volunteering and running. Race directors need a minimum number of people available throughout the race to make the race work so non-running volunteers are preferable. While it can be helpful, volunteering in a volunteer and race capacity does not count towards qualifying for end of year prize
