Route Description:
The route option down is up to each runner although the race director will decide on the day if this needs to be changed (weather dependant). Registration opens at 10am. Parking will be limited (details closer to the time)
Getting There:
car park at end of boreen at R894 205 Attention. Please carpool as much as possible, before heading up this road as spaces are extremely limited. There is space to park either in Skehinarinnky or at the start of the road up to the reg point. Please obey this as if there is hassle with cars blocking, we cannot run this race in the future. Thank you
Organisers Instructions:
Route Description: Leaving the road, the race will travel up the Black road until the 'Y'. Here runners will veer left and head along the left 'prong' until it ends. Then runners are to head for the Col at R240 886 between Galtybeg and Galtymore. On reaching the Col veer right and pick up the track that takes you to the summit of Galtybeg. Give number to Marshall and return either the route ascended or take a straight line off summit for the Y junction. Return via ascent route from here.

Check with race director if they have a need for people volunteering and running. Race directors need a minimum number of people available throughout the race to make the race work so non-running volunteers are preferable. While it can be helpful, volunteering in a volunteer and race capacity does not count towards qualifying for end of year prize
