Micheal McSweeney | Jul 13 2025, 1:54pm | Mìle buiochas to Dathì, Barry, Conor, and all of the volunteers who made the inaugural Daingean Uí Chúis Mountain Running Festival such a success. On the road home now to detox after 3 great open mountain races and a few too many caffine gels. |
Peter Bell | Jul 13 2025, 3:45pm | Massive thanks to the Munster crew for a brilliant weekend. You always put on great events. It was great to see all the Munster faces again. Looking forward to the next trip down. |
Kristen O'Sullivan | Jul 13 2025, 4:25pm | Thanks Barry, Daithí and all of the volunteers for a great weekend of racing. The Brandon half remains my favourite race on the calendar, even better this year with the views :) Not to mention the super organisation and friendly faces along the route. |

Mick Hanney | Jul 13 2025, 7:49pm | In hot sunny conditions we were treated to a great running weekend in Costa Del Dingle. Hats off to the individual race directors and their volunteer crew for making these races happen. It was a fantastic weekend of races and I'd encourage everyone to mark their card for this, the next time it happens. 2 out of 3 races for me. The VK of Mount Brandon on Fri evening and the Sunday morning trail race which was really a full-on mountain race in disguise. Kudos to the few that ran all 3 races at the weekend. If the VK wasn't enough for you on the Friday, you ran pretty much the same ascent at the start of the Brandon Ridge Half Marathon, which looked particuarly stunning, difficult and yet enjoyable. The Rainbow Hostel was a great spot for a running base. |

Rónán Davison-Kernan | Jul 15 2025, 10:11am | Go raibh míle maith agaibh uilig as deireadh seachtaine den scoith agus craic iontach. Special thanks especially for organising the glorious weather! The weekend gave me an excuse to come down to Dingle for the first time. Well worth the 7 hour drive, and not just for Murphy's on tap. The Brandon half eas the most fun race I've done in a while (even with the road bit at the end). Thanks again to all the organisers, marshals, and open top bus drivers... |
Linda Rowden | Jul 15 2025, 1:21pm | Huge thanks to the Munster crew for putting on a brilliant weekend. The legendary Munster hospitality was out in force and ye outdid yourselves organising that amazing weather. It was so much fun from start to finish and the Rainbow Hostel was a great camping spot. Thanks again!! |
Alice Clancy | Jul 15 2025, 3:32pm | Míle buíochas to all the Munster crew for such a brilliant weekend….the combination of well-planned, challenging routes, spectacular scenery, sea, sunshine, lovely camping, friendly volunteers and pre and post race fun made for a very memorable weekend…. Reaching the top of Brandon on Friday dazzled by the evening sun as it shone on the sea and glinted off the rocks all around us and traversing the grassy ridge towards an Gearáin on Saturday with views stretching out for miles in all directions were very special moments to experience… Kudos to Micheál and anyone else who ran all three events…! I’m a broken woman after taking on the vertical and the ridge…and trying to keep up with Mags who squarely thrashed me in both of them!…will have to start training for next year now! Thanks to Dáithí, Barry, Conor and to all the volunteers…especially those out on the hills all day Saturday….there was obviously a lot of thought and planning that went on in the background to make the weekend the success that it was and it is very much appreciated. See you all again next year! |
Micheal McSweeney | Jul 15 2025, 8:22pm | Not that it was a competition or anything, but there is no point doing slightly mad shit, unless you tell people about it. With that in mind, and as far as I can see from the results, 5 runners completed all 3 races at the weekend. Sorry if I missed anyone. Mairead O Keeffe Karlo Kraljic Daniel Morkan Sean O Lionaird and yours truly Micheal McSweeney. Thanks again lads. It was some craic. |
Barry Murray | Jul 15 2025, 9:36pm | Kudos indeed to those 5 that completed all 3 x races, a big challenge, especially with a) the hot weather and b) the cold drinks on saturday night ! And Micheál, you defo must be the only one who completed all 3 x races shirtless ;) |
Micheal McSweeney | Jul 15 2025, 10:00pm | Had my shower proof jacket though. :-) |
