It's time...

So at 6:20 this morning There is little voice on the monitor saying daddy daddy so I went into him to tell him to go back to sleep thankfully he did i then got back into bed(shouldn't have told him I was making pancakes )I lay there in bed and couldn't get the first race of the Wednesday nights bray head out of my head r sleep which is stupid but when you get into these races it does move you in a funny good way:)So ding dong were off up the lovely concrete path at a good pace with the I'm to far away to go too race howth in are sights to the left...you really know how you are doing breath wise when you hit the steps through the first wall it's up up up to the cross was following in the first group with the lads killian was disappearing off at fast rate ...as we approached the cross John was talking shots I don't think he thought I'd touch the cross and it looked like he took a shot of me touching it:)so it's then on to a bit of nice down hill to get the air back in the lungs and the legs moving its always a bit longer around the cliffy bits then you think but we kept pushing on there was a bit off passing back and forth up towards the next trig point where there's a lovely panoramic view if you've time for a look....then nice little tricky rocky steepish section that only lasts 10seconds or so and back around to pass the rest of the crew of the main race then to get as fast as you can to the cross but there's a little stinky up hill to it which you always feel it I was pushing after James on the way around the cliffs Richie then passes me out on the way up to the cross and Bernad and rob on my heals literally... I managed to keep them at bay to the down hill around to the left I saw James and Richie head left I shouted wrong way and kept right I think Bernad and rob behind didn't have any faith in me and followed the others ....I think there might have been some tape removing from some unhelpful people :( so I love this downhill from here just so fast and furious to stay on your feet and not into a gorse bush r even a friendly hello to a tree for a quick hug and cuddle....so it's was me and a guy with no number(sorry don't know your name ) flying down through the forest at speed all the way to the end .....killian winning the race in style with Conor in 2nd then a super run from the youngster iosac in 3rd...lots of fun chats at the finish line...onto the pub from some yummy soup and rolls chats chocolate prize giving ..thanks to all who made it happen ...enjoy the traffic jams on the way to howth next week:)
Thanks
