liam kennyAug 18 2025, 11:11amMorning all,

Looking for few more volunteers both running and non to help out around reg,

Route is in reverse of last year but with finish line at same barrier from where you start, some technical under foot ground, ground is dry out there,

Early start at 11 30 for anyone that’s needs it, bearing in mind 160%

Parking and refreshments at the gap pub, it’s a 5 to 10 walk to the start to please allow extra time,

Hope to have a water station at 11km mark will update towards end of the week on that one,

Mick HanneyAug 20 2025, 12:28pmIf the weather holds you should get great views over Wicklow from the top of Croghan on Saturday.
If I understand the route properly you should be hitting the peak around the 7k mark after a testing climb which brings you up past the coffin stone on the EastWest map.
The out and back on the ridge has probably rarely been as dry.
Some nice challenging trails await no doubt.

@Liam - can you share a garmin link and or updated map, thanks.
Ben ConroyAug 21 2025, 10:30amHi all, Wondering if anyone has a free seat coming from Dublin.. I'm in D7 but can jump on Luas or bike to wherever you may be..

Mick HanneyAug 23 2025, 7:59amLooking forward to seeing runners at the trig point on the out and back along the ridge. A mini false summit before you see the trig approaching from the south side.
Jeff SwordsAug 23 2025, 4:00pmResults published, email IMRAResults at Gmail dot com with any queries.
Liam BoweAug 23 2025, 5:12pmThanks Liam and all volunteers - Croghan has some lovely climbs and technical decents. Smashing spread after in The Gap and twas a lovely day for a Guinness.
Mick HanneyAug 23 2025, 5:48pmPhotos added from the summit. The early runners got the misty top. Most of the rest got treated to some splendid views over Wicklow and Wexford.
Alan KennedyAug 23 2025, 11:18pmThanks Mick. And thanks to Liam, Amanda, Madisyn, Locklyn and all the crew today for a super race. A lot of work went into designing a new route from last years. It’s a technical race with a tough climb but even tougher and long downhill. Great marshalling as always, drinks at the finish and The Gap pub put on a great spread after. Dublin got lashed on today but the sun was shining on Croghan today. A great end to the Half League.
Miriam MaherAug 24 2025, 8:42amThanks Liam and all the crew for a super day out. That route had everything going on and was way more varied than I'd expected it to be. Including the Croagh Patrick style climb to the summit of Croghan as was described by Sly Ivers. He also has to win an award for a marshall that appeared not once, twice but in three different spots on the course! The Gap pub is a really nice spot for after the race too. Left blue skies in Croghan and drove back to the rain and clouds of Kildare. So the trip was worth the effort on a few counts - great end to the leinster half league indeed.
Kate FlynnAug 24 2025, 11:58amThanks to Liam and crew for a great day and wonderful atmosphere. Lovely route with a bit of everything!
Highly recommend looking at the photos from Mick , some lovely moments captured.
Rob TobinAug 24 2025, 3:36pmThanks to Liam and all the Croghan crew. A varied and scenic course. I loved the winding track descending the open mountain between heathers. Fierce mild day with a great spread waiting for us at the finish line and a wake's worth of sangwidges back in The Gap. Where else would you be?
