Route Description:
Marked from the GAA pitch up to the start of the path up the shoulder of the Sugarloaf
Getting There:
Take the N11 towards Wicklow & Wexford and then take the Kilmacanogue exit. The registration point is at the Glencormac Inn just off the exit in Kilmacanogue. Additional parking is in the church carpark. The start is at the GAA pitch up a very narrow road. You must walk/run the 600 metres up to it. There is no parking up at the pitch as is is required for ambulances, Civil Defence, etc

Starts at Glencormac Inn, Kilmacanogue, on N11 Co. Wicklow This is an annual race held on the Sugarloaf to commemorate Charles Barrington, a Wicklow man, who was the first person to summit the Eiger. Charles also organized the first mountain race in Ireland with a race up and down the Sugarloaf in the 1870s and we continue this tradition in this race.

Volunteers (Running)

Check with race director if they have a need for people volunteering and running. Race directors need a minimum number of people available throughout the race to make the race work so non-running volunteers are preferable. While it can be helpful, volunteering in a volunteer and race capacity does not count towards qualifying for end of year prize
