Organisers Instructions:
The race will start @ 1pm sharp. It is a 7.5Km race, which starts in the village and goes to the top of the hill and back to village to finish. The race starts on grass fields and goes across a river and up on to forest tracks for about 600m and then heads up trough closed forest trail 300m on up through a bog fire brake for 400m which leads runners on to open Mountain where they follow a well marked route to the top. Competitor will then turn a come back down on the same route. Runner, walkers and all competitors This is an all terrain course from flat running to crossing through rivers to fast running on forest track and tough running over bog. This short course has it all and is open to all types of competitors who whish to test there metal. This is the first time this race has been entered in to the hill running calendar Entries are taken from 12pm wards in the village hall, We looking for all types of sports people to take part from serious sports competitor to walkers, joggers and thrill seekers are all welcome. Check with race director if they have a need for people volunteering and running. Race directors need a minimum number of people available throughout the race to make the race work so non-running volunteers are preferable. While it can be helpful, volunteering in a volunteer and race capacity does not count towards qualifying for end of year prize
