- Organisers Instructions:
- End of league handicap race. The purpose of this race is to find the end of season handicap winner of the league. It will be a chasing start race with start times based on your preformance in your best seven races in LL. This race is primarily for people who have completed the summer league (7 or more races), other runners may run, see below. The clock starts at 7.00 The predicted winning time is being taken as 40 minutes. These times are based on your overall percentage for the year, as seen on the runners page on the website. There will then be a 3% penalty for every race less than 7 you have done in the Leinster League. So for example if your overall percentage is 150% and you have done 5 races in the Leinster league your effective percentage will be 144% so you will get less of a headstart than if you did 7 races. The effective percentage is capped at 200% so your maximum headstart will be 40 minutes. Once you have your effective percentage we will multiply that times 40 and round it to the nearest minute (up or down) and then assume that will be how long it will take you on the night. We will calculate start times so that everyone finishes at 8:20. Example your % of winning times is 146% and you have done only 5 races your effective percentage is 146 - (3*2) = 140%. 40*1.4= 56. Therefore your start time is 8:20 ? 56 = 7:24. If you have not done 4 league races you will not be given a time and you start with scratch runner at 7:40. A list of runners start times sorted by time and also by name will be available shortly after the last league race results are posted on 19/7.
- Prizegiving Location:

Volunteers (Non-Running)
You need to have done 2 non-running volunteer roles in a calendar year to qualify for end of year prize
Volunteers (Running)
Check with race director if they have a need for people volunteering and running. Race directors need a minimum number of people available throughout the race to make the race work so non-running volunteers are preferable. While it can be helpful, volunteering in a volunteer and race capacity does not count towards qualifying for end of year prize
