Organisers Instructions:
Registration and Race Details

Registration will be from 09:15 to 10:45.

As this is one of the first Leinster Winter League races of the year, please come early as race numbers have to be issued.

As the race is less than 8 kilometers there will be no early start.

There is a junior route and there will be a marshals at the points where they split from the main race. Please note U10 must be accompanied on the race route by a parent or guardian.

For more information on Updated Junior runners policies, copy this link to your browser: https://www.imra.ie/forum/topic/id/5487

The course will be fully marked and in general you should follow the trail you’re on and only change direction where you see markings coming up to a turn or junction and the turn will generally be to the side that the markings are on.

Where we feel there might be problems, we’ll have a marshal positioned

The reference to Sign-in has also changed and this will be explained at the first registration desk.

HEADPHONES ARE NOT ALLOWED DURING THE RACE FOR SAFETY REASONS.

VOLUNTEERS: Please aim to be at the Summit Car Park for 09:00 to help set up for registration.

We will have a mass start at 11:00 sharp. Juniors start time 11:05.

As we enter a new year, below is some useful information for the Leinster Winter League, and for the rest of 2025.

As this is one of the first races of the Leinster Season, registration will be very busy handing out new numbers with combined timing-chips.

Please arrive early - registration will close at 10:45

Please sign-in first, then collect your number, then proceed to the laptop desk to get your chip registered and scanned.

If this is your first race, a chip will be provided to you on your race number.

Your number will be yours for the entire 2025 race year. Please retain it for the year, it is your responsibility.

Replacement numbers will be charged at €5 and can be purchased online.

Please make your number clearly visible on the front of your chest. Do not wear it on your shorts, as it cannot be seen easily by the spotters.

If you must use a race belt for your number, please ensure that it is facing frontwards when crossing the line.

If you cannot finish the race for any reason, please let a volunteer know or contact the RD, the number is on the rear of your race bib. Please phone and don't text. Otherwise we could be out on the hill for a while looking for you.

The RD can be contacted using the emergency phone number on the rear of your race number.

Finally enjoy your run!!

Volunteers (Non-Running)

You need to have done 2 non-running volunteer roles in a calendar year to qualify for end of year prize

Please login to myIMRA to volunteer to help at this event. You should aim to volunteer at least once for every 10 events that you run.

Volunteers (Running)

Check with race director if they have a need for people volunteering and running. Race directors need a minimum number of people available throughout the race to make the race work so non-running volunteers are preferable. While it can be helpful, volunteering in a volunteer and race capacity does not count towards qualifying for end of year prize
