All runners must bring the above items to the race. The actual kit to be carried during the race will be finalised on the day, depending on conditions etc., and clearly advised at Registration.

You should also have the means to carry all the kit in case required.

Failure to have the required items may lead to you being denied entry to the race, or disqualification. Random checks may be carried out.

Getting There:
Registration for B+I athletes will take place at Brockagh Resource Centre between 8.30-9.30am on 14th September.
Organisers Instructions:

Teams have been selected for the Junior Home International (JHI)competition from Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales, England and Ireland. No registration required for JHI Teams - race numbers will be distributed to team managers at the Technical Meeting on Friday 13th in the Glendalough Hotel. .

British & Irish Mountain Running Championships

For those U20 and U17 athletes wishing to compete in the B+I, entries are available through the IMRA website. Membership of IMRA for 2024 is required for insurance purposes. Please note that this is open only to juniors in the same age categories as the JHI athletes : Athletes in the U17 age group must be at least 15 years old on 31 December 2024 and athletes in U20 age group must be at least 17 years old on 31 December 2024. Please do not purchase an event entry if you are outside the age categories as refunds will not be possible. If you are unsure, please contact juniors@imra.ie before purchasing an entry.

Race times for British & Irish JHI are as follows:

  • U17 Girls 10.30
  • U17 Boys 10:45
  • U20 Girls 11:00
  • U20 Boys 11:15
 

Volunteers (Non-Running)

You need to have done 2 non-running volunteer roles in a calendar year to qualify for end of year prize

Volunteers (Running)

Check with race director if they have a need for people volunteering and running. Race directors need a minimum number of people available throughout the race to make the race work so non-running volunteers are preferable. While it can be helpful, volunteering in a volunteer and race capacity does not count towards qualifying for end of year prize
