- Important Times Registration: 1030am to 1130am. Early Start: 1100am for runners typically 160% or more of winning time. Race Start: 12noon Navigation: Participants must self-navigate in Championship races, including the Dargle Four Peaks. A map and compass can be used to assist with navigation. GPS cannot be used. This includes having a quick look at a map on your phone to check your location. A phone must be carried but should you use it, or any other electronic device, to navigate during the race you must declare yourself non-competitive and return to the finish taking the shortest safe route possible. Mandatory Kit: Due to the nature of this race, it is likely that all Level C kit will be need to be carried. This will be advised on the day. Each runner should consider their ability, experience and the possible conditions and carry any additional items that might be needed to manage their personal safety.
- Prizegiving Location:
- Finish line area. No pub, but there will be nice refreshments etc waiting for you when you cross the line to fuel your 'jog' back to the car. It would be worth bringing a change of clothes to the start line which you can change into after the race (no valuables please)
Volunteers (Non-Running)
You need to have done 2 non-running volunteer roles in a calendar year to qualify for end of year prize
Volunteers (Running)
Check with race director if they have a need for people volunteering and running. Race directors need a minimum number of people available throughout the race to make the race work so non-running volunteers are preferable. While it can be helpful, volunteering in a volunteer and race capacity does not count towards qualifying for end of year prize
