All runners must bring the above items to the race. The actual kit to be carried during the race will be finalised on the day, depending on conditions etc., and clearly advised at Registration.

You should also have the means to carry all the kit in case required.

Failure to have the required items may lead to you being denied entry to the race, or disqualification. Random checks may be carried out.

Getting There:
The race start/finish is at the Church Mountain Parking at Drumreagh on the Hollywood Glen road.
Race parking and registration is about 700m before the race start in a field in Dunboyke (53.074749, -6.608841).

Please approach from the Hollywood side (North). The turn off the N81 is 500m past Hollywood Cross when coming South from Dublin.

Standard IMRA parking charges are in effect for those without a full car:

€4 for a single person car

€3 for two people

€2 for three people

FREE for a full car (4+).

The landowner has kindly requested that all proceeds taken at the gate are donated to Friends of St. Lukes Hospital to support Cancer Care & Research
Organisers Instructions:
N.B. The race crosses several private landowners lands. The route for the long race will pass through three sets of kissing gates. Runners MUST pass through the kissing gates.
****Under no circumstances are runners to climb over any fences or gates. This will result in automatic disqualification.****

There will be an early start, heading off at 7pm and a junior course with a start time of 7.35pm. The junior route , which will be approximately 5km and will start approximately 300m up the track from the main start location . There will be a marshal at turnaround point at the kissing gate before the summit. Please note U10s must be accompanied on the race route by a guardian or parent. Please arrive early - registration will open at 6.15pm and close at 7.10pm to allow time to get to starting point. Please sign-in first, then proceed to the laptop desk to get your chip registered and scanned.

Remember

Annual registration (€10) MUST be done online (if you have not already raced this year).

Bring your Race Number, timing chip and jacket - they are mandatory! If you need to pick up a race number and/or chip for 2024, please do so at the registration tables.

It is mandatory to carry or wear a showerproof jacket at all IMRA races. Failure to do so will result in disqualification from the race.

Please make your number clearly visible on the front of your chest. Do not wear it on your shorts, as it cannot be seen easily by the spotters. If you must use a race belt for your number, please ensure that it is facing frontwards when crossing the line.

If you cannot finish the race for any reason, please let a volunteer know. Otherwise we could be out on the mountain for a while looking for you. The RD can be contacted using the emergency phone number on the rear of your race number.

Prizegiving Location:
Refreshments and prizegiving will be held at the finish line. There will be a gazebo here to leave clothes in during the race.
 

Volunteers (Non-Running)

You need to have done 2 non-running volunteer roles in a calendar year to qualify for end of year prize

Check with race director if they have a need for people volunteering and running. Race directors need a minimum number of people available throughout the race to make the race work so non-running volunteers are preferable. While it can be helpful, volunteering in a volunteer and race capacity does not count towards qualifying for end of year prize
