All runners must bring the above items to the race. The actual kit to be carried during the race will be finalised on the day, depending on conditions etc., and clearly advised at Registration.
You should also have the means to carry all the kit in case required.
Failure to have the required items may lead to you being denied entry to the race, or disqualification. Random checks may be carried out.

- Getting There:
- Registration for this race is at the Summit Inn Pub Howth. See location here https://goo.gl/maps/phvM4XMd9EyfTkf58 .The following transit lines have routes that pass near Summit Inn which is bus 6 and bus H3. Carpooling highly encouraged. - Parking will be limited but there will be some spots at the Lighthouse Carpark and also some at Carrickbrack Road Car Park which is near the Summit Pub. Location here: https://goo.gl/maps/CLFFYyarecYMLVGLA .Please do not rely on these spots for parking as they can fill quickly. Please do not park along the main road or at the race start.

- Welcome to the Howth Summer Race 2024. Some Race Rules A showerproof jacket must be carried / worn at all times during IMRA races. Please have this jacket visible when you cross the finish line. Unfortunately, there is no self timing at IMRA events. Please be respectful of this beautiful location - littering will lead to a disqualification. Unfortunately, no transfers or refunds can be processed for IMRA events. No need for headphones for this one folks so please don’t have them on during the race. Registration If this is your first race of the year then please register for yearly IMRA membership first and then purchase an entry for this race. You can then collect your race number and timing chip on the night which you keep for each future IMRA race. Online registration closes at 12pm on the day of the race so if you’re not in, you can’t win! You cannot buy an entry for this race on the night it must be done online before the closing time. Unfortunately, the legendary IMRA vouchers, cold hard cash, Bitcoin, or the even more legendary naked warrior dances are no longer accepted on the night. Sign in Once you have a valid entry for this race you must sign in on the night of the event. Please sign in early at the Summit Inn Pub. Sign in on the night closes at 19:00pm as we have to relocate to the race start down at the entrance to the Quarry which is a warm up distance of 5-10 minutes away. Start Times The main race will then start at 19.30pm. Early start will be available at 19.00pm for those who qualify for it. To qualify you must have over 160% of winner’s time. Please do not join the early start if you’re faster than 160% of a winner’s time as we like to keep the early start as fair and as competitive as possible. Junior Race The most important race on the night! All juniors must be registered with IMRA and have purchased an online race entry in order to compete. The race will start at 19.35pm. The course is just over 4kms long. Under 11's need to be accompanied by an adult in the Junior Race. Ages 12 and upwards can run by themselves, but, make sure to follow the markings! Prizes for the first junior male and junior female.
