• Foil blanket, bivvy bag or equivalent

All runners must bring the above items to the race. The actual kit to be carried during the race will be finalised on the day, depending on conditions etc., and clearly advised at Registration.

You should also have the means to carry all the kit in case required.

Failure to have the required items may lead to you being denied entry to the race, or disqualification. Random checks may be carried out.

Route Description:

The main race will be run in an anti-clockwise direction with a climb over the top near the end of the race. We have been asked to avoid some shale sections, so please adhere to the markings and don't run straight towards the top (we don't like to disqualify people). There will be a Junior Route (short course option for seniors). Length 4.4km, elevation gain 174m. The junior route will start a few minutes after the main race.

Organisers Instructions:

Start will be from the arch in the car park south of the peak. Registration will be open from 6.30pm - 7.20pm.

Prizegiving Location:

Unfortunately ,we haven't been able to find a pub near enough to the finish line. Prizegiving will be in the car park after the race. We will have some sandwiches at the finish.

Volunteers (Running)

Check with race director if they have a need for people volunteering and running. Race directors need a minimum number of people available throughout the race to make the race work so non-running volunteers are preferable. While it can be helpful, volunteering in a volunteer and race capacity does not count towards qualifying for end of year prize
