All runners must bring the above items to the race. The actual kit to be carried during the race will be finalised on the day, depending on conditions etc., and clearly advised at Registration.

You should also have the means to carry all the kit in case required.

Failure to have the required items may lead to you being denied entry to the race, or disqualification. Random checks may be carried out.

Route Description:
There are 4 route options at this race.

1. The long route is 8km and commences at 19:30. Online entry only.

2. The short/junior route is 4.3km and commences at 19:35. Online entry only.

3. The Blue route is 2km and commences at 19:40 from the blue start at the bridge (follow signs). This route is suitable for anybody looking for a shorter race, particularly inexperiences/younger children, those new to IMRA and those with an intellectual/physical disability who prefer a shorter route. Vehicular access to the start line is available by prior arrangement 0851445209. The walk from reg to start is 10 minutes and includes boardwalk, steps and some rough terrain. Online entry only.

4. The inclusive run/roll wheelchair accessible challenge is 200m,300m or 400m. Choose your own distance. It is free to take part in. No registration required. Kids must be fully supervised by parents. Starts at 19:10 at the Blue start at the bridge. This is a 10 min walk from registration and is a 5 min walk from the main start location.Vehicular access to the blue start line is available by prior arrangement 0851445209. The walk from reg to start is 10 minutes and includes boardwalk, steps and some rough terrain.

Children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult throughout the race
The route takes in the scenic trails of Ballygannon woods and Clara Vale nature reserve just North of Rathdrum. The start is located in picnic area in Ballygannon Wood. The route is comprised of a series of ups and downs (some easy some not so) on mostly very forgiving trails. You will also cross over the newly constructed Samuel Hayes(look him up) bridge on both the long and short courses. See long course above and short below. The two km route is a reduced version of the short course - Start at bridge, run down path, do triangle and back to briodge.
Getting There:
Splash Valley is part of the Hidden Valley resort in Rathdrum. Please proceed past the entrance to Hidden Valley to get to the Splash Valley / Lakehouse entrance which is directly adjacent to Rathdrum rugby club.

There is limited parking available at Splash Valley on account of construction work that is going on. Please carpool. There is a large carpark in Ashford or at the Memorial Park in Rathdrum that are ideal for car pooling. Parking is also available at the race start at Ballygannon Woods (Walk 5/10 min over to registration will be marked).

Registration for this race will be at The Lakehouse, Splash Valley, Rathdrum.

It is about a ten minute walk from registration to the race start.

19:10 Kids Run/Roll starts from Blue Start at Wobbly Bridge
19:15 Registration Closes
19:30 Main / Long Race starts from main start
19:35 Short Race starts from main start
19:40 Blue Race starts from Blue start at Wobbly Bridge.

NB, JUNIORS (SHORT COURSE) ARE TO PICK UP A BIB AT REGISTRATION TO WEAR SO THAT THEY CAN BE EASILY IDENTIFIED BY RACE MARSHALS WHO WILL DIRECT THEM ON THE CORRECT COURSE.

Race directors need a minimum number of people available throughout the race to make the race work so non-running volunteers are preferable. While it can be helpful, volunteering in a volunteer and race capacity does not count towards qualifying for end of year prize
