The race will start at Raheen College (accessible from Hillview). The first 3km and final 3km are on roads that are OPEN. Please be aware of traffic and be courteous to locals.
This is a ‘leave no trace’ event. Some of the route passes through animal grazing land so strictly NO LITTERING. Any competitors seen littering will be disqualified.
Mandatory kit: waterproof jacket, fully charged mobile phone with race director’s number saved, ability to carry 250ml water, some source of food.
Under IMRA rules for competitor's safety, it is mandatory to bring and carry a jacket that is shower and wind proof for the entire race. Any competitor seen not carrying or wearing their jacket at any stage in the race will be disqualified. There are no exceptions to this rule! Race start is 11am. There will be an early start option at 10:15am. Please let the volunteers at registration know if you wish to avail of the early start. Note that all early start race times will be listed at the end of the main race results.
Volunteers (Non-Running)
You need to have done 2 non-running volunteer roles in a calendar year to qualify for end of year prize
Volunteers (Running)
Check with race director if they have a need for people volunteering and running. Race directors need a minimum number of people available throughout the race to make the race work so non-running volunteers are preferable. While it can be helpful, volunteering in a volunteer and race capacity does not count towards qualifying for end of year prize
