EUROPEAN OFF ROAD CHAMPIONSHIPS 2024

10 TEAMS
5 races
3 days
600 other competitors
4 seasons of weather

Countless smiles, groans, tears and laughs.

A huge well done to all our athletes who headed over to Annecy, France to compete in the European Championships. They were faced with extremely interchangeable conditions, far from what had been predicted. Each athlete showed up not just for themselves, but for the team and country too.

Thank you to all the managers, coaches and behind the scenes members who put in hours upon hours to make this weekend happen.

A huge shout out to all the family, friends and running community for the support and encouragement from the sidelines.

A special acknowledgment to some achievements over the weekend:

Sarah McCormack, placing 8th in the uphill race.

Enda Cloake, who smashed his expected time by over an hour.

All the juniors who were mid exams and managed to show up over the weekend, between studying during down time, or arriving a day later to sit exams!

Martin McMullan for stepping up to be the laundry man, washing, drying and folding the kit for those who were racing twice over weekend.

It takes a village , and a very good village we do have at IMRA.
