Opportunities for our Youth Runners to Wear the Irish Singlet!

Mountain running (as you all know!) is a fantastic sport with huge opportunities for junior athletes to represent their country, and to experience international competition.

We are targeting three main events in 2024:

- The u20 European Off-Road Championships: 31 May – 2 June, Annecy, French Alps. We are aiming to select 2 teams of 4 female, 4 male, and possibly 2 further teams for the uphill only race.

Uphill Trials Friday, 12th April, Up and Down Trial Sunday 14th April, in Seefin, Co. Limerick. (Meet & route recce 10th March).

- The u18 Mountain Running World Cup: 21/22 June, Palencia, Spain: We will be planning to send 2 teams of 4 female, 4 male.

Trials Monday, 6th May, Scarr, Co. Wicklow.

- British and Irish Junior Mountain Running Championships: 8th September, Glendalough, Co. Wicklow. U17 & u20 categories, 4 teams of males and females, plus development teams. This will be extra special as we are the host country this year!

Trials Saturday, 24th August, Brockagh Route, Co. Wicklow.
