IMRA Member’s Survey – You Spoke, We Listened!
Monday February 19 - Miriam Maher
As many of you are aware, a survey was conducted in October 2023 amongst the IMRA membership, to gather information on various aspects of the organization (survey results here: https://media.imra.ie/ad-hoc/2023_IMRA_Survey_Report.pdf).This survey was developed and delivered by IMRA members David Power and Brian Kitson, and sponsored by Miriam Maher, on behalf of the IMRA executive committee.
Nearly 200 of you took part, and the executive committee has been working on the implementation of your recommendations since, with a view to ensuring that the activities of IMRA in 2024 reflect the feedback received.
Two subgroups have been formed as a result of the survey:
- The Communications Subgroup (Kate Flynn, Dáithí de Mórdha, John Murphy, Pól Ó Murchú, Liz Dwyer and Miriam Maher). Formed to improve and to to maximise the communication channels available to IMRA, and to develop new avenues of communication to highlight IMRA's activities both within the membership and with the wider world.
- The Sustainability, Inclusivity and Accessibility Subgroup (Roisín Burke, Liam Kenny, Alicia Christof-Walshe, Rob Tobin, Ciara Hutchinson and Louis Mullee). Formed to explore ways we can ensure that IMRA races and events are accessible, inclusive and in line with our commitment to sustainability and our environmental responsibility.
Both groups are reflective of the wide geographic spread of IMRA and meet regularly online. They report back to the national committee each month on proposals, suggestions, and updates.
Both subgroups and the executive committee would love to hear opinions and suggestions from members on these areas. You can contact Miriam (president@imra.ie) and Louis (ordinarymember@imra.ie).
