| Rene Borg | Aug 9 2025, 2:45pm | The 2025 Wicklow Off-Road Championships will take place on Saturday 16th August, hosted within the Run the Ridge trail races. The event is jointly organised by Glendalough AC, Laragh GFC, and Athletics Wicklow, with all proceeds going directly to support these three associations. Unfortunately, entries for the 20k and 30k distances have sold out. However, there are still places remaining in the 10k and we'd love to see IMRA runners at the start lines. Date: Saturday 16th August 2025 Starts: 8:30 (30k), 9:30 (20k), 9:45 (10k), 10:00 (junior 3k) Location: Laragh GAA Grounds, Co. Wicklow 10k Entry: https://worldsmarathons.com/marathon/run-the-ridge Championship medals will be awarded to Wicklow Athletics registered athletes in both Senior and Masters categories, alongside the usual open race prizes and spot prizes on the day. Both a Wicklow championship and open juvenile race will be held. Formally it is primarily for 11-16 year olds but if you have 6-9 (accompanied) or 10 year old (unaccompanied) who wish to run the 3k junior course, contact us and you can purchase the open juvenile ticket for your youngster.
