Robert CunninghamAug 4 2025, 7:25pmWe are looking for more volunteers for Templehill race this weekend.
Brian HouriganAug 7 2025, 12:09pmHi Robert. Is the terrain that is before/after the Templehill/Paradise Hill section trail, fire road or open mountain as well? Just wondering so can bring the appropriate trail runners. Thanks
Kevin LenihanAug 8 2025, 6:43amThe first 4.5km is fire road uphill, next in open mountain up and down off temple hill, then it is a mix of mostly fire road with a small section of single track trail in the middle so you’ll need comfort, grip and then comfort and then a little more grip!
Robert CunninghamAug 8 2025, 3:45pmExactly Kevin.
We have a bigger field for parking so please bring €2.
Parking only in the field please.
Brian HouriganAug 8 2025, 5:13pmGrand stuff. See ye on sunday

Louise MurrayAug 9 2025, 7:17pmHi Robert, just clarifying - I signed up as a 'running' volunteer helper for tomorrow . Just checking as I didn't get an email, is it that you have enough people who aren't running, and don't need me ?
Just said I'd check (incase it was actually that I missed an email !). Thanks a million, Louise

Hazel stapletonAug 10 2025, 7:25pmThanks to the team today for another great day out. The course was varied and very challenging (for me anyway!). The marking was 'spot on' and the convenient parking, convivial chatter and delicious eats, all added to the overall success of the day.
Seán O LionairdAug 10 2025, 7:58pmGreat day out
Thanks to everyone involved
Martin CooneyAug 10 2025, 10:17pmMassive Thanks to Robert, Martin and all the volunteers on a great race. It was well marked and volunteers at all necessary junctions. The open mountain section was especially well marked in the cloudy, misty conditions.

Thanks for the treats afterwards especially the coffee cake- delicious!
Brian HouriganAug 10 2025, 10:36pmFolks that was a savage race. One of the tougher ones I've done this year. As Hazel said, the marking was spot on, really made a big difference with the mist and rain. Thanks to Robert, the volunteers and the runners for a fun but challenging day out...going up templehill is never easy.

Fair play to all.the volunteers who were stood out in the rain, wind and mist to guide us. It's much appreciated, some of younwere a sight for sore eyes after slogging up the climbs.

PS: Wouldn't be against a Galty League in IMRA with this and all the Galty races included :)
Robert CunninghamAug 11 2025, 12:42amThanks to all the volunteers for stepping up, especially Martin Hennessy for taking over as RD so I could go to Croke Park to cheer Galway to victory.
Brian, a Galty league has crossed my mind before, definitely one to think about. Martin there was no Coffee cake, it was Carrot cake you enjoyed.
Thanks to Tricia for all the num nums.
