End of LL BBQ and Prize giving

| Miriam Maher | Jul 26 2025, 11:23am | Hi Everyone, Amazingly it’s already that time of the year for the end of league BBQ after the Leinster League races! Another summer of great racing across all the leagues across the country with lots more to come still on our race calendar. We will be having a BBQ in the Martello Bar in Bray on August 6th after the race held that evening on Bray head - race details on the website. Tickets for the BBQ are €5.00 for adult members attending, no charge for the juniors, finger food on offer. You can purchase your ticket on the shop now. Prize giving at the BBQ will be presented for the following leagues completed; - Leinster Winter League - Trail League Leinster - Leinster League - Junior League The league directors for each of these leagues already completed will post the winners on this thread in advance of the night. The LL and Juniors leagues won’t be available until the night itself as those leagues finish with the race on Bray head. If your name is on the lists posted, firstly well done and secondly, if you can’t make, we will sort out getting your prize to you over the next while. Looking forward to seeing as many of you as can attend. Thanks, as always, to the army of volunteers that made these races happen, every single person’s time and contribution has mattered. Hopefully all prize winners can make it to the bbq after Bray Head next Wednesday 6th August. | Joseph Boyle | Aug 2 2025, 3:32pm | Congrats to all the winners of the Leinster Winter League as listed below. The results were clearcut with the exception of 3rd Male. There was a tie for this position between Con and Hugh McDowell and although Hugh is listed as 3rd male on the website, the rules state that where runners are tied on points, the person with the better head to head score shall be the winner. Hopefully as previously noted that every one can make it to the end of League BBQ in the Martello Hotel in Bray following Wednesdays close out of the Leinster League. Also thanks to all the race directors for the league, Robert Costello, Niamh O'Ceallaigh, Dave Docherty, Angela Flynn, along with special mention to Laurence Briody and the team up in Mullaghmeen who had to pull the plug on their race due to the storms earlier in the year and to Graham Bushe who along with Angela stepped in to put together a replacement race at short notice around Sugarloaf. A shout out also to all of the volunteers that make these races and leagues work every year. Also thanks to the committee and in particular on the race side for all their assistance to Liam Vines and to Lillian Deegan.
