Deirdre O GormanFeb 19 2025, 8:24amIf anyone is conflicted about the Ireland v France game kicking off at 2.15pm on race day, Seamus in Hillview has kindly agreed to show the match in the lounge afterwards; good motivation to up the pace...! The bar won't be open so BYOB! :)
Deirdre O GormanFeb 25 2025, 12:24pmJust a note for anyone who might be doing a recce of the course, there's been a slight change to the route at the top of the wood section. I've updated the 'Plot-a-Route' link today so you might want to download again to replace the old course.
It will be well marked on the day!
Robert CunninghamFeb 27 2025, 10:15amEntries for Clonmel HM will close this Saturday the 1st @ 6pm.
Deirdre O GormanFeb 27 2025, 11:45amI'd love a few more helpers on the day too if anyone can give a few hours....will be paid in Damien's finest cake and sambos.. ;-)

Michael MolamphyMar 5 2025, 6:05pmDeirdre - I'm planning to photograph the event on Saturday, the last time I was there was for the World Master's event in 2022. If you have time would you mind emailing me please as I just want to ask a question about the event. My email is michael.molamphy@gmail.com

Deirdre O GormanMar 7 2025, 1:51pmHi Martin, I included you in the volunteer email on Wednesday; I’ll send it on to you again but maybe check your spam folder too!
Martin StevensonMar 7 2025, 2:29pmThanks I probably deleted it
Ian HealyMar 8 2025, 4:41pmThanks for a great event as always. I even managed to stay upright for the whole thing
Alice ClancyMar 8 2025, 7:19pmThank you Deirdre and all the brilliant volunteers …that was such an epic race!!! There’s a bit of everything on that route and bog skiing galore! Munster hospitality at its finest with the delicious spread afterwards too…. Thanks all
Maire O'SullivanMar 8 2025, 8:31pmOn International Women's Day it was great to see so many women running, RDing (thanks Dee) and marshalling. No better way to celebrate. Muddy running abú
Patricia RyanMar 8 2025, 8:35pmThanks so much Dee and all the volunteers who gave us a great day out on the hills and mountains. Damien, the food was delicious.

If your number was visible and I managed to catch you you can search for your pic by number. If not you can scroll through the images to find yours. They are in sequence so that may narrow down your search.

Well done to everyone involved yesterday.
Deirdre O GormanMar 10 2025, 8:31amThanks all for your kind words, I'm glad you enjoyed a (slightly wetter than expected!) day on the hills; I really appreciate the support which has grown the event year on year.

My biggest thank you goes to my super team of volunteers, the race couldn't run without all of your help. Everyone was where they needed to be and got the job done, no questions asked.

Thanks to Michael and Derek, who sat for hours on the hills in the rain to take fabulous photos of all runners.

Damien was the real hero of the day, working tirelessly to keep everyone fed; I think that cheesecake now has legendary status!
Pat once again de-marked the whole course and made sure everyone got back safely.

A special thank you to Seamus and all in Hillview who welcome us every year and open up all their facilities to us.
I'll be typing up the results today so they should be available in the next day or so :-)
Brian FlannellyMar 10 2025, 7:09pmResults are now up for this event - any questions/queries on them, please email:

Martin CooneyMar 11 2025, 1:14pmSincerest thanks to Hillview Sports Centre for letting us use their facilities; to Dee O’Gorman as Race Director, to all the volunteers who gave up their day to let the rest of us run and for marking the course, to Damien McDonnell for all the lovely food and anyone else involved in a very successful day all around.
Race report gone up now- my apologies for the delay!
Deirdre O GormanMar 11 2025, 3:33pmThanks for the reports guys; at least it's now known that the Comeraghs are definitely home to some proper bog :-) Zero DNFs showed that yer a tough crowd anyway, no bother to ye!
Edel HennessyMar 12 2025, 5:35pmThanks a million to Dee and all the volunteers. It was a great route & so we'll marked and marshalled! It was wonderful to arrive back to Hillview to lots of hot tea and goodies. See you there next year!
