Angela FlynnFeb 18 2025, 11:29amGood morning
Tree planting will again go ahead on Corrigoona mountain in Kilmacanogue, The tree saplings are being donated by the charity Easie Treesie and IMRA are donating 1,500 ( from the carbon contribution fund) to the cost of the stakes- and tubex covers- looking for forward to seeing as many of you as can more volunteers = less work and hard work it is. More details to follow-thanks in advance.
Dave DochertyFeb 18 2025, 2:58pmGreat stuff Ange. I hope to be there with my boys. What time? Any tools required?
Angela FlynnMar 4 2025, 1:03pmThe tree planting event has been added to the IMRA calendar- can people please sign up as volunteers there. This will help with managing car parking and catering. ( but not for end of year volunteer prize). Again, plan for the weather - car pool from Kilmcac and bring spades not shovels - Oh and if anyone happens to have a pile driver in their garage bring it as the last one has dissappeared. There is also some maintenance jobs if planting is not your forte.

Angela FlynnMar 10 2025, 11:42amA big thank you to all who joined us yesterday in planting trees yesterday. We planted 450 native trees sponsored by you the members and the charity Crann/easie Treesie. We had spectacular sunshine and were joined by members of the Glencomick Pure mile too. It does sometimes feel like housework -endless and pointless but going back to the same locations and seeing some of the trees sprouting over the tubes is what keeps the initiative going for us. Thanks: Angela and Paul.
