IMRA REFUND POLICY

At our last Committee meeting, the Committee agreed to expand the refund policy as below. Previously IMRA's policy was not to allow refunds under any circumstances. We have now tried to relax this a little while trying to recognise the volunteer effort involved (at roughly 5 minutes per refund, it's not a trivial exercise).

IMRA Refund Policy

For the avoidance of any doubt, the following policy applies to race entries:

* Race Entries are non-transferable;
* IMRA does not operate a Waiting nor Cancellation list;
* No refunds will be made for race entries accidentally purchased for any reason (wrong date, wrong event etc.);
* However, refunds will be allowed in the unlikely event that a duplicate purchase has been made;
* If a race has to be cancelled or postponed, for any reason, the following policy applies:
- if a race is rescheduled, all entrants will be automatically transferred to the rescheduled date;
- if a race is rescheduled and an entrant cannot make the rescheduled date, the entrant must let the organisers know by the deadline set by them and/or in advance of the race, whichever is earlier, and a full refund will be made if the (adult) race entry fee is EUR10 or more;
- if a race is cancelled, a full refund will be made if the (adult) race entry fee is EUR10 or more;
- for races where the (adult) entry fee is less than EUR10, no refunds will be made under any circumstances.

The above policy tries to balance the considerable volunteer time and effort involved in processing refunds and keeping proper records, along with bank and other transaction charges, while recognising the impact on the membership. We appreciate your cooperation with this.
