Robert Costello | Jan 9 2025, 12:18pm | Hi all, Looking forward to seeing you all at the first Winter league race of 2025 at Brockagh on Sunday 19th. We have a fun race in store - short and sharp run up and down Brockagh. We have managed to book the Resource Centre for parking, registration and post race prize giving (with some food and refreshments). We are expecting a high number of registrations given recent popularity of races and with limited parking it is critical that everyone car pools either from Roundwood or before. If you haven't already done so please consider making your car available through the event page. We will be policing the car parking as it is important that people do not park on paths or the nearby road as there's a risk of a fine from the Gardai (which has happened in the past). Rob |
Liam Vines | Jan 12 2025, 5:15pm | Brockagh Burst will go on sale tomorrow morning (Monday) at 9am and has a NPWS limit on it. So get in early.. Remember that if it’s your first race you will be buying your annual membership and race entry at the same time. So €17 in total.. This will give you a race number which you will pick up at race registration next Sunday morning. Enjoy the rest of your Sunday… |
susan dixon | Jan 13 2025, 10:47am | Hi Liam, Is there just 1 distance in this one? Or is there a shorter distance For younger kids (age 9)? Thank you, Susan |
Niamh O'Ceallaigh | Jan 13 2025, 4:19pm | Hi Susan, Short course is 4.2km and omits the loop up to the summit. So once you go up the steep grassy ascent, you turn left and join the descent to the finish. |
Robert Costello | Jan 13 2025, 10:03pm | Hi all, We are now full up on volunteers so thanks to those who have signed up to help. Also, we have sold out so looking forward to seeing all of the 220 entrants on Sunday. Finally, we will be charging for use of the car park. It's contactless only so if you are driving please have a card (or phone) ready to pay using the IMRA Sumup machine. €4 for a single person car €3 for two people €2 for three people Free for a full car (4+) Rob |
