Angela Flynn | Dec 16 2024, 12:12pm | Hi all Being from Kilmac, I am organising an dawn Solstice run ( or walk) for this Saturday, 21st starting at the GAA gates in Kilmac - followed by hot tea and savoury saugage rolls at the finish. This is a non Imra event and we are doing it in aid of a small local charity in Gaza AMJAAD. if you are injured - tired- hungover- or (looking for an excuse not to drink Friday night) you can join in with the walkers - Paul my husband will guide the walkers ( or if you family who think running is nuts but would be up for a walk -please do feel free to invite them to come along... The walkers will meet at the GAA gates at 7.00 am and runners 7.15 - We are following the trail clockwise and will join the new paths just recently completed to the top of the Sugarloaf- asking for 5e donation- Elaine will be managing the tea station as she has too many injures to count. sunrise 8.38 am and if the dawn is anything like this mornings one it might just be worth setting your alarm that bit earlier . |

A special thank you to Kilmac GAA for the use of their car park ( very needed) Elaine Power and her son who managed the kitchen after, my sister Maria who provided the sausage rolls, Paul Mc Redmond for leading the walkers and last but not least Rosie Temple for doing the Double - both solstices !!
