| Vivian O'Gorman | Aug 15 2024, 11:35am | Hi Folks, Race registration will open at 10.45am and close at 11.40am. This will be in the field we have for car parking opposite the Glencush Road. The Early Start is at 11.30am - main race 12pm... There is no short course or juniors. You must enter the Cush race for this. There will be Summit Marshalls on Cush - Galty Beag and Galtymore. The mandatory kit advanced level C. It is listed on the events page. Please have it with you and a decision will be made as to what you need before the race. You will definitely need your Jacket!! A couple more Volunteers are needed either running or nnon running.. |

| Brian Furey | Aug 18 2024, 9:56pm | Thanks to Vivian, Robbie, and all volunteers for a great race. This was my 10th time coming down to Galtymore and it doesn't get any easier:). Great car pooling coordination from Peter OF who drove 4 of us down. Clouds looked like they were gathering pre race but it all lifted and the warm sun came out. Cush looked a lot steeper than I remembered from the start but once I got over that the legs loosened a bit and the running was good. That field for parking is a masterstroke too. Great racing by all. Cheers |

And Karlo who spent the day on his own looking after the cars in the field. That field for the cars is a godsend!! We would never have parked the cars anywhere else today!! Congratulations to Esther Dickson and Matthew McConnell who won their races today and are now Irish Mountain Running Champions... It was a great day, lovely weather and fast racing - thank you everyone... |
