Hill & Dale Series

AuthorDateMessage
Zak HannaJun 4 2024, 9:49amThere are three races left in this year's Hill & Dale Series based in the Mourne Mountains if anyone is interested in a trip up North on a Thursday evening.

Entries for Loughshannagh close this evening at 9pm, entry information here: https://www.sientries.co.uk/event.php?elid=Y&event_id=13027 (Please note you must register for the series before you can enter an individual races) and be aware this is arguably the hardest race of the series in open mountain terrain with navigation needed in bad weather.

After Loughshannagh we visit the popular Meels race on Thursday 13th June with the final race at Drinahilly on FRIDAY 21st June.

All welcome for the craic that the Hill & Dales are famous for and if you're lucky enough you'll arrive home with a coveted Hill & Dale mug!

Mike JordanJun 4 2024, 1:14pmI decided to do the NIMRA champs and the Hill & Dale series this year. They’re great races with varied courses and good competition. There’s also still time for people to take part in the new Ulster champs which has 4 of the 5 races remaining (Flagstaff is next up). I’d definitely recommend the races, they’re well worth a trip north.
Pól Ó MurchúJun 4 2024, 6:29pmCouldn’t agree more with Zak & Mike. This is my third year doing Hill & Dales series and they really are great races. Very similar set up to the IMRA Wednesday night although the routes are a bit more challenging. More climby and a bit more technical descents but nothing the average IMRA runner couldn’t handle. Great after race scene too with a bit of food, chats, pints and a few spot prizes. There’s a few of us have carpooled from just outside Drogheda some weeks also and it’s a lot closer to Dublin than you think. I’ll be heading Thursday anyway so pop a message here if interested in meeting up.
