Fri 12th 8pm Reeks Vertical 800 Race, Sat 13th 9am REEKS SKYLINE Sun 14th 11am 3 Lakes of the Glen Sun 12noon Cronins Yard Trail Race Sun 1pm Carrauntohill Mountain Race The Skyline is by pre approval only, if we have you on our finish list from previous years then you can enter away. The 3 Lakes is designed to give runners a great Reeks race without the need for navigation or high altitude running. The Classic race was easy to navigate but the new Carrauntohill Mountain race will be much more pathless and more scrambling on technical terrain and you need to have the ability to mind yourself and navigate in very poor conditions and bad terrain. The 3 Lakes will be 10km with 600m climb and touching the waters of 3 Lakes. The Cronins Yard Trail is perfect for those that want a fully marked course or a junior runners. At only 5km you can take in the view Hags Glen without the hard climbing. Carrauntohill Mountain Race replaced thr Classic. At the same distance but 1600m climbing and unmarked it is a beast. High level mountain experience necessary. This is the pinnacle of Irish Championship Running . As always camping is available and hopefully we will have BBQ and beers once weather plays ball. I wi set up a thread for the camping in next few weeks and will open race entries shortly . |
