Leinster League

Dillon RyanMay 13 2024, 1:09pmHi There, not sure im reading this correctly, but is it 7 races from the Leinster league to qualify for a prize? but then the second paragraph says ' 10 races from any event'?

Summer league held on Wednesday evenings in Dublin and Wicklow. There are 13 races in the series starting at about 6km and building up to 12km. They are run on marked routes mainly tracks but can be quite rough underfoot. You must finish 7 races be deemed to have completed the league.

Requirements for league finisher prize have changed in 2018. It is now 10 races from any race in calendar (other than MMRA events) to qualify rather than 7 races from the Leinster League. This is to people who cannot make the Wednesday night races but participate in weekend races an incentive to volunteer. To qualify for the end of League prize you must also have volunteered at least twice in the current calendar year (volunteering in any League or Championship counts).
Graham K. BusheMay 13 2024, 1:39pmHi Dillon, Here is my understanding.
To qualify for a "finishers prize"

- Volunteer for 2 races (league or championship)
- Run 10 races (league or championship)

To "Complete", and get an overall position in the Leinster League, you will need to have 7 race results. This will also allow you to get a calculated start time for the end of league handicapped race
Which, last year, was also the Mountain Meitheal fundraiser.
Graham K. BusheMay 13 2024, 1:41pm* that should be 7 Leinster league race results out of 13 races, to complete the Leinster league
David PowerAug 7 2024, 9:33amLast Leinster League race tonight. It ends so fast - great to see nearly 100 people complete at least 7.
A reminder that everyone who's eligible for a prize, also needs to volunteer at 2 races, so hope you all get out to assist and let others run.
