Liam VinesApr 26 2024, 7:42pmSo more than 300 of you got the summer off to a flying start on Wednesday evening in Belmont. The reality is that more than 100 of you are going to be disappointed probably by Monday lunchtime as next Wednesdays race has a limit of 200 runners on it. This is NPWS imposed and there is nothing we can do about it. So please no moaning on the forum when it is sold out.
More worrying is that we are not out of the woods with the weather yet. It is drying yes but rain is back in the forecast.
The truth is that the Scarr race on Wednesday may not be allowed go to the summit of Scarr and if enough rain fails it may not be allowed at all..
We have been working on alternative routes
But are still subject to approval from the Parks..
So a few things to think about before you buy one of the 200 places for next Wednesdays race..

*Are you happy to run if we are using a low level alternative route?

*Can you 100% make it to the race? Places are NOT transferable so if you take a place but don’t travel that is a wasted place on the mountain..

After Scarr we are not running in the National Parks again till we take on Brockagh on the 22nd May. Hopefully by then everything will be well dried up..

Enjoy your weekend
