Robbie WilliamsDec 10 2023, 8:55pmNot fully decided yet.
We may need to shift the start point a bit.

I’ll update info as soon as I have it
Ciaran DineenDec 12 2023, 11:39amI see there is a half version of this race too - Does anybody know which part of the trail the half is raced on? Thank you
Finbarr DesmondDec 13 2023, 11:51amThe half is normally from Ballyvourney to Millstreet. There should be a shuttle bus from Millstreet to the start.
Robbie WilliamsDec 13 2023, 5:00pmHi Lads

I’ll get some info up soon. I’m formulating a route , it will be a bit different to last edition , some parts are closed etc at the minute

Will still be approx 70-72km

Half will be 21-23km

Just train away :)
Robbie WilliamsDec 18 2023, 7:12pmJust an update lads

The Sli will this year be a little different. Some parts of route are unavailable so this is the set up this year coming.

Start is Ballyvourney.
We will head south west and pass through Ballingeary, Gougane Barra and then Kealkill (where it stated previously) and then follow St Finbarr’s Pilgrims Path on to the Top of the Rock in Drimoleague.

It will be approx 70KM still in length. There will be a cut off at Kealkill.

The race registration will be at the finish location where you can park. A bus will bring you to the start point.
There will be camping pods and tent pitches available as well as a hall you can camp in with a mattress/sleeping bag.

Campfire on the Friday night and the Saturday night .. (what , bring some beers?). Dinner will be provided in the Saturday after the run by caterer.

Will give more exact details how to book etc soon. Will open entries on next few days. Prob 100 entries for this event.

Thank lads

Make your own arrangements re who shares the pods. Might be useful to start a separate Form tread for that. Like the car pool.
Michael McSweeneyDec 18 2023, 11:49pmDavid at the Top of the Rock has updated the Booking Tab (Green) on their website with the IMRA prices, so you can book accommodation there. But he also said to feel free to ring him directly or email, if you prefer.
