Ciaran Dineen | Dec 12 2023, 11:39am | I see there is a half version of this race too - Does anybody know which part of the trail the half is raced on? Thank you |
Finbarr Desmond | Dec 13 2023, 11:51am | The half is normally from Ballyvourney to Millstreet. There should be a shuttle bus from Millstreet to the start. |

Robbie Williams | Dec 18 2023, 7:12pm | Just an update lads The Sli will this year be a little different. Some parts of route are unavailable so this is the set up this year coming. Start is Ballyvourney. We will head south west and pass through Ballingeary, Gougane Barra and then Kealkill (where it stated previously) and then follow St Finbarr’s Pilgrims Path on to the Top of the Rock in Drimoleague. It will be approx 70KM still in length. There will be a cut off at Kealkill. The race registration will be at the finish location where you can park. A bus will bring you to the start point. There will be camping pods and tent pitches available as well as a hall you can camp in with a mattress/sleeping bag. Campfire on the Friday night and the Saturday night .. (what , bring some beers?). Dinner will be provided in the Saturday after the run by caterer. Will give more exact details how to book etc soon. Will open entries on next few days. Prob 100 entries for this event. Thank lads |
