These runners did not have the required mandatory kit (jacket) on arrival at the checkpoint. Please make sure you do not get disqualified from your imra race. We do not wish to take the enjoyment out of races but we do ask that you follow the rules so all runners will run equally. Also note that in UK , FRA rules dictate you carry full kit being jacket, pants, whistle, gloves, map, foil blanket plus more, so we do think we are asking the minimum. Please remind others so as this doesn’t happen but we will continue to have checks so that we can keep your safety at the top of our priorities. Thank you |

Last night in Three Rock was a perfect example, walking up to start it was raining, the race itself was dry but started raining again soon after and the temp even dropped quite a bit. And the expanded kit for longer races makes even more sense. |

If you fell and badly hurt yourself. Be it head injury or leg. You will be glad of the aid that comes your way. You will be glad of the next competitor that comes along and stops to help. You will be glad of the aid the emergency services give you. You won’t ever forget it. Don’t be a git bring your kit. The end. |

The time between the first and last photo was 22 mins. https://imra.ie/photos/view/id/112527/ https://imra.ie/photos/view/id/112759/ Look at the photo gallery for the race to see how the weather came in and came in fast. Blue skies one min, whiteout the next.. https://imra.ie/events/photos/id/1329/ |
