Andrew Tees | May 26 2023, 9:39am | New Cooley's map available from EastWest, very useful for anyone looking to do this race, a huge improvement over the OSI map. https://eastwestmapping.ie/product/cooley/ |
Stuart Scott | May 26 2023, 10:13am | Thanks Andrew, I spotted that yesterday on bookface and it'll be a game-changer. Thanks to Barry Dalby for producing it. Nice plug for the race too! It's one of my favourites but it's been years since I managed to make it. Anyone from Dublin considering heading up? |
Pól Ó Murchú | May 27 2023, 6:47pm | Thanks for Sharing Andrew. That’s really good. I have an old Táin Way map done by East West that covers a lot of the area was quite good but was only 1:50,000 I think. The OSI was crap. Spend a lot of time up around that area so must pick up a copy. |
Lorcan Vallely | Jun 7 2023, 9:49am | Here is a link to the page with info on the race and has a link to online entries: https://www.nimra.org.uk/index.php/events/event/flagstaff-to-carlingford-c-5/ The race starts in Co. Armagh and finishes in Co. Louth - no Co. Down, although you'll have a great view over to the Mournes on the other side of Carlingford Lough (visibility permitting!). |
