Michael McSweeney | Mar 22 2023, 10:37pm | I'm in Galway Thursday and Friday and the runners are in the van. Anywhere within striking distance of Galway City for a handy hill/trail run tomorrow evening? I stopped in Coole Park Nature Reserve on the way up. Nice spot for a run, but not a hill in sight. Thanks in advance for any suggestions. Micheal |

Owen Harney | Mar 23 2023, 2:41pm | Hi Michael, There aren't many hilly trails in/around the city, but Knockma Hill (about 30 mins outside the city) might suit. It's a short enough route (4/5km) on forest trail, but it's nice for a few loops. All the best, Owen |

John Cronin | Mar 23 2023, 7:22pm | I live in Moycullen so to get some nice hills/trails I head out to Derroura. It is a mountain bike trail so give way to bikes but it's rare I come across any. About 15km of nice trail with a great view over the lake up top. Starting point here: https://maps.app.goo.gl/Uz63VTBnMHHPiuV87 |
