Rogaine June 18th/19th

| Róisín McDonnell | May 23 2022, 11:40am | I'm just posting to let people know that Setanta orienteers are hosting the Rogaine on June 18th/19th and that the early bird entries close on June 5th with late entry available until June 15th. There are two events a 6 hour navigational challenge which starts at 8 am on the Sunday and can be done solo or in teams of 2-5 people, and a 24 hour navigational challenge which starts at 14.00 on the Saturday and can only be done in teams of 2-5 people. It's a great way to run around the Wicklow hills and take routes you wouldn't ordinarily and it finishes with much map discussions over a very sociable bbq. | Denis Deasy | Jun 8 2022, 9:55pm | Just a reminder - if you fancy a navigational challenge on an epic scale, the Rogaine is still open for entries. The 24 hour is a supreme test for teams of 2-5, with the 6 hour 'Sprint' for those who want something more achievable. The route covers large areas of open mountain terrain in Wicklow, this year using the excellent EastWest West Wicklow 1:25k map, 2021 version, with 5m contour detail. Don't follow the herd - forge your own routes :-) |
