The Irish Ultra Runners Association are staging a 50 k race on Easter Saturday, the first ever Wicklow Trail Run. The course generally follows the Wicklow Way, starting at Johnny Fox's Pub in Glencullen, turning round above Lough Tay and finishing back at Johnny Fox's. For the faint-hearted there's a run from Lough Tay back to Johnny Fox's later in the day.
To enter the longer race you must have completed three marathons in under 3.30 in the past 5 years, or have run an ultra race in the past two years or have considerable experience of long mountain races. Entry fee is £10.

Volunteers (Non-Running)
You need to have done 2 non-running volunteer roles in a calendar year to qualify for end of year prize
Volunteers (Running)
Check with race director if they have a need for people volunteering and running. Race directors need a minimum number of people available throughout the race to make the race work so non-running volunteers are preferable. While it can be helpful, volunteering in a volunteer and race capacity does not count towards qualifying for end of year prize
